I've been a Portland resident for several years, after stints in Boston and New York City. I grew up in the hills of West Virginia. To me, Portland is a reasonable blend of the rural and urban extremes.

My radio fascination started early in life, as I discovered new and exotic sounds on the AM dial. Before long, I began taking apart every radio I could find, hoping to discover what made this mysterious box called a "radio" possible. Eventually, I would earn degrees in both music and electronics.

All Classical Portland has given me the opportunity to experience both the creative and technical aspects of radio-making. I get to learn from some of the best in the field. Andrea Murray shares my lifelong obsession with sound and is guiding me through the process of producing quality radio content. The staff and volunteers have been tremendously kind and supportive.
