ABOUT JUNE DIRECTOR NAGEL

June attended the University of Washington and Mills College in the music department where she studied under the internationally renowned composer, Darius Milhaud, and violin pedagogue, Kathleen Parlow. As a student of Boris Sirpo, she was a founding member and violin soloist with the Portland Chamber Orchestra, and for many years afterwards she served as a board member. Close to her heart was the playing of Kol Nidre at the Yom Kippur services at Congregation Beth Israel. June will be remembered by all who knew her for her grace, natural wit, beauty, love of life and especially for her love of family.
