Chamber Music Northwest; Washington State School for the Blind’s Choir

May 29, 2025: Host Christa Wessel welcomes Chamber Music Northwest; and the Washington State School for the Blind’s Choir to All Classical Radio’s Irving Levin Performance Hall.

CMNW shares an exclusive preview of their sold out performances inspired by autobiographical accounts of the incarceration of Japanese American citizens in World War II. Lost Freedom: A Memory weaves together music and spoken word by actor, author, and activist, George Takei (Star Trek). We’ll be joined by the chamber piece’s composer, violist Kenji Bunch, and violinist Jessica Lee.

Then, the Washington State School for the Blind’s Choir shares a special a cappella performance featuring 6 blind singers.

Join us Thursday at 3:00 PM PT at 89.9 FM in Portland, OR or from anywhere in the world on our website.
