April 18, 2024: Host Christa Wessel welcomes the Portland State University Opera and Imani Winds to the Roger O. Doyle performance studio.

PSU Opera will share an exclusive preview of their upcoming production of The Merry Widow. Imani Winds, presented by Chamber Music Northwest, will share excerpts from their upcoming performers with BodyVox.

Indulge in the elegance, romance, and comedic brilliance of Franz Lehar’s lighthearted operetta, “The Merry Widow,” with an unexpected twist. Portland State University Opera is nationally renowned for its innovative and fully staged productions, successful alumni, and extraordinary faculty who teach from decades of career experience as successful singers. Alumni from this program have been Grammy Award Winners, National winners for the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, and singers with international careers, including houses like Covent Garden, the Salzburg State Theater, the Frankfurt Opera, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and the Metropolitan Opera.
