Columbia Gorge Museum: Lacing Communities Together
Columbia Gorge Museum is literally “Lacing Communities Together” through the heritage artform of lacemaking. Australian contemporary lace artist Maggie Hensel-Brown has created videos to get you started – no experience necessary! The lace triangles you create and send to the Museum represent a sense of place, the Pacific Northwest, and a sense of community through international submissions. Submissions will be sewn together in an installation and unveiled on September 11.
Anyone can participate by making a lace triangle. No previous experience required! Advanced lace makers can add their own creativity. Submissions accepted anytime prior to August 24, 2026. Visit www.columbiagorgemuseum.org for videos, lessons, workshops, and events with the artist.
