Resonance is joined by Fear No Music and Las Matices Latin Ensemble for a powerful exploration of land, belonging, memory, and the stories carried by the places we call home.

Kenji Bunch’s On This Land, commissioned by Resonance with text by Chisao Hata, reflects on Japanese American incarceration in the Pacific Northwest, connecting personal memory with a history that continues to shape the region. Alongside Freddy Vilches’s Abya Yala, a multilingual suite created with Indigenous poets from across the Americas, and Shruthi Rajasekar’s Whose Names Are Unknown, the program brings together distinct histories and voices to explore displacement, belonging, and the complicated relationship between people and place.
