The Oregon Sinfonietta performs the world premiere Dr. Donald Appert’s “In Memoriam,” written in memory of two beloved Sinfonietta musicians, Carl Schnoor (viola) and William Dameron (bassoon). The concert will also feature Moeran’s “In the Mountain Country” and Ravel’s orchestration of Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition.” Although donations are always welcome, there is no charge to attend.

The award-winning Oregon Sinfonietta, now in its 54th season and conducted by Dr. Donald L. Appert, is a full symphony orchestra of roughly 70 members that draws together community musicians from the greater Portland metro area. The Sinfonietta offers four free concerts per season.
