The Linfield Collaborative Music Ensemble (LCME) makes its Portland debut with the release of its first album, Patterns of Wildness — seven world premiere recordings by four composers who have all taught or studied at Linfield University. Musical patterns drawn from living or weather-made phenomena push back against formal organization, reflecting the incredible juxtaposition of wildness and cultivation in the verdant Willamette Valley where Linfield University fosters its artists. A national finalist for The American Prize in Chamber Music Performance, LCME features faculty, students, and alumni playing side by side in a Pierrot-plus-percussion instrumentation.
