Live, in Concert – Special Guest and Internationally Acclaimed Principal Cellist of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, CARTER BREY.

This is the first and only time Mr. Brey will be in concert with the Portland Choir & Orchestra which makes it a Must See event. It is not often that someone from the New York Philharmonic Orchestra and has appeared throughout the world will be in concert in the Portland area. The concert Is suitable for all ages.
The concert will showcase Mr. Brey’s talents as he accompanies the Portland Choir & Orchestra. The concert will also feature some original compositions that Mr. Brey will play during the concert.
The music performed will include such favorites as “God of Our Fathers, Whose Almighty Hand”; a traditional Shaker hymn, “Simple Gifts”; “Home on the Range” that will include a fun harmonica solo, the ever popular, knee slapping tune, “Cindy”; “America the Beautiful” and several more.
The winners of the Portland Choir & Orchestra sponsored “Youth Musician Scholarship” program will also be announced during the concert series,
Tickets for the Friday night show at 7 pm and the Saturday afternoon Matinee at 2 pm can be purchased directly through the http://www.musicinportland.org website.
The concert will be performed at the Rolling Hills Community Church, 3550 SW Borland Road, Tualatin, Oregon.
