On Deck with Erika Metzenberg

In this episode of “On Deck,” Amy Faust chats with Erika Metzenberg, a 15 year old violin player with the Metropolitan Youth Symphony. Erika has been playing with MYS for almost 8 years, and has recently picked up the viola as well, taking regular lessons from MYS director (and On Deck host) Raul Gomez.
As a student at an online high school called Summit Charter School in Eagle Creek, she has been studying virtually since before the pandemic and will continue to do so afterward as well. She loves Japanese music, food, and culture, and is looking forward to returning to that country to visit relatives as soon as travel bans are lifted.
