SALEM PHILHARMONIA ORCHESTRA PRESENTS “SOUNDS OF NATURE” ON MARCH 2ND AND 3RD, directed by SPO Artistic Director Jonathan DeBruyn and featuring guest violin soloist, Anthea Kreston. The concerts begin with Johannes Brahms’ “Variations on a Theme by Hayden”, followed by Camille Saint-Saens’ “Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso” and Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “The Lark Ascending”, both featuring Ms. Kreston. The concert finale is Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Pastorale Symphony No. 6”. The Saturday, March 2nd concert begins at 7:00PM, and the Sunday, March 3rd concert begins at 3:00PM. Salem Phil’s venue is the East Salem Community Center, 1850 45th Ave. NE, Salem , OR 97305. Admission: $20 (Adults ages 18-64); $18 (Students 18-64/Srs. 65+); $0 (children/youth through age 17).
