The 53-voice community choir Coastal Voices will present an afternoon of choral music celebrating many aspects of Spring. Part 1, Sacred Treasures, will include a spiritual and a Swahili version of the The Lord’s Parayer along with other liturgical works. In Part 2, Natural Wonders, the choir will perform a varied mix of secular music that celebrates the renewal of spring. The smaller ensemble SoundWaves will perform three selections. An audience sing-along will follow the intermission. This concert will continue the overall theme of the 2023-2024 season: “Celebrating 25 Years of Our Favorites.” Artistic Director Rhodd Caldwell has chosen songs from the music library of the group, founded in 1998 as Central Coast Chorale by Dr. Mary Lee Scoville, director emerita.
