Francesco returns and springs into action with John Adams’ kinetic showpiece, Short Ride in a Fast Machine, evoking an exhilarating ride in a sports car, and launching us into orbit for Holst’s The Planets–one of the most exciting and instantly recognizable works of all time. Dan Tepfer, “One of the moment’s most adventurous and relevant musicians” (New York Magazine) presents a new concerto for piano and orchestra, complete with improvisation and real-time visualizations.
