Our Loire Valley Grand Prize Winners Are…
Congratulations to Bryan and Victoria in Portland, Oregon, who have won the Grand Prize drawing for All Classical Radio’s 2024 Spring Fundraiser! They will join hosts John Pitman and Suzanne Nance on an unforgettable cultural and culinary retreat to the Loire Valley in France this September, curated by our generous friends at Rêverie!
Bryan shares, “My love for All Classical goes all the way back to 1983 when I was asked to play classical guitar during one of the station’s first-ever fundraisers. At the time, the station was located at Benson High School. They ran a microphone out into a nearby hallway, where I performed a few pieces, including some of my original compositions. It was one of the first live music broadcasts on the station, and I recall John Pitman was with me in the hallway. Since then, I worked as a Professor of Music at Portland State University for 38 years. My wife Victoria and I became sustaining members after we retired. We wake up every morning to All Classical Radio!”
Bryan and Victoria will stay at the Château de Jalesnes, a 17th-century Renaissance castle steeped in illustrious history, and enjoy cooking classes, wine tastings, and exquisite local cuisine, all made possible by Rêverie.
